A car driver sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between two vehicles at Gadikallu, Sampaje village, Dakshina Kannada, on December 28.

One of the cars, traveling from Madikeri to Mangaluru, lost control while taking a turn near Gadikallu and collided with another vehicle coming from the Kallugundi side.

The injured driver was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
