Outperforming national benchmarks

Mangaluru, 17 June 2025: As only 54% of candidates nationwide cleared the NEET-UG 2025 exam, Mangaluru’s Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) recorded an outstanding 95% success rate — and that too, in their very first attempt. The results not only highlight the institution’s consistent academic excellence but also underscore its holistic approach to competitive exam preparation.

CFAL’s achievement is remarkable when placed against the backdrop of the national scenario. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared a General-category cut-off of 144 this year, reflecting the toughness of the paper. Yet, 96% of CFAL’s General-category students surpassed this benchmark, with many crossing elite percentile thresholds.

Standout performances

One of the most striking performances came from Chethas Pai V, who scored 609/720, securing All India Rank 545 in the General category — placing him in the top 0.1% of the more than 2 million students who appeared for NEET 2025. Furthermore, 15% of CFAL students scored above the 97th percentile, and 33% achieved over 400 marks, which typically ensures a government MBBS seat.

What makes this success even more notable is that these students were not only preparing for NEET. They also balanced:

  • Class 12 board exams

  • JEE

  • IAT and other national-level entrance tests

  • “This is not just exam coaching,” said Vijay Moras, Director of CFAL. “It’s education that builds academic depth, character, and confidence. These results prove that excellence is possible in the very first attempt — and with balance.”

CFAL’s academic model: Built for success

CFAL attributes its results to a well-rounded academic and mentoring structure:

    • 🎯 Class size limited to 40: Enables immediate doubt resolution and personalised attention.

  • 📈 40+ NTA-style mock tests annually: With performance analysis and feedback.

  • 🤝 Bi-weekly mentoring: Progress-aligned strategy adjustments for each student.

  • 🧘 Focus on mental wellness: Regular sessions, campus support, and stress-management workshops.

  • Karnataka’s competitive landscape

Karnataka has emerged as one of India’s most competitive states in medical education. Of the 1.18 lakh MBBS seats across India’s 780+ medical colleges, Karnataka alone has 12,395 MBBS seats, including 3,800 in government colleges. In such a tight race, CFAL’s track record further cements its position as a leading preparatory institution in the region.

    1. AIQ and state quota registrations

  • Choice filling and locking

  • Round-wise seat allotments

  • Mop-up and stray vacancy rounds

  • Enrolment open for NEET 2026 batch

CFAL is now accepting applications for its NEET 2026 Long-Term Batch, starting 1 July 2025. The programme is designed for both freshers and repeaters, combining academic rigour with mental wellness initiatives.
