Mangaluru: A startling revelation has surfaced involving a man who claims to have witnessed and participated in multiple murders and sexual assaults in Dharmasthala, Dakshina Kannada district. The man, burdened by guilt, is reportedly ready to turn himself in and help recover the remains of the victims he says are buried there.

On Sunday, advocates Ojaswi Gowda and Sachin Deshpande released a media statement disclosing that the man had approached them with a disturbing confession. According to the lawyers, he admitted to being involved in concealing several heinous crimes—including the rape and murder of young girls—by burying the victims’ bodies in and around Dharmasthala.

He now wishes to surrender voluntarily to the authorities and is prepared to lead the police to the burial site in their presence. This confession has been widely shared online through a letter attributed to the man, sparking intense media and public scrutiny.

Responding swiftly, Dakshina Kannada district police confirmed that the letter had come to their attention through social media platforms. In a formal note, the police stated they contacted the Bengaluru-based lawyers named in the letter to verify its legitimacy.

The advocates confirmed that the individual had indeed come forward and expressed his willingness to disclose full details, provided he is guaranteed protection under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018. Authorities have now taken the matter seriously and are expected to proceed with caution and legal protocol.
