Mangaluru: Chinmaya Mission, Mangaluru, has announced a summer camp for children from April 3 to April 12, 2026, at Sharada Sannidhi, Rosario Church Road, Hoige Bazar. The camp, themed “Stories from Mahabharath,” aims to instil values in children through engaging storytelling and interactive learning.

The camp is open to children aged between 6 and 13 years and is designed to combine spiritual learning with creative and fun-filled activities.

Focus on values through storytelling

The central theme of the camp revolves around stories from the Mahabharath, offering children an opportunity to learn important life lessons and values through timeless narratives.

In addition to storytelling sessions, children will be introduced to chanting practices, including Bhagavad Gita verses and Vishnu Suktam, along with bhajans. These activities aim to nurture spiritual awareness and discipline among young participants.

Blend of learning and fun activities

To ensure a holistic experience, the organisers have included a variety of engaging activities such as games, craft work, and drawing sessions. These activities are designed to stimulate creativity and provide a balanced learning environment.

The camp will be conducted daily from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by prasada for all participants.

Bala Vihar initiative for young minds

The camp is part of the Bala Vihar initiative, which focuses on shaping young minds with universal values rooted in Indian scriptures and traditions. Through stories, bhajans, shlokas, and Bhagavad Gita chanting, children are introduced to the rich cultural heritage of sages and saints.

A dedicated team of volunteers will guide the participants, ensuring an interactive and enriching learning experience.
