KIOCL Limited, a Public Sector Company, has been actively supporting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan since 2014, with a mission to promote cleanliness and hygiene across its premises and surrounding areas.
As part of this initiative, the Kudremukh Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Committee, in addition to constructing toilets, distributing hygiene kits,
and cleaning company premises, townships, and surrounding areas, organized another impactful program during Swachhata Pakhwada from
16th September to 2nd October 2024.
All officers and employees enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive, which focused on cleaning the areas around Kuloor Bridge, the NMPT Mangala Circle near the bridge, and the entrance to Thaneerbhavi Road. The drive included clearing thick bushes that had been obstructing the view and movement of vehicles in NH66.
The Kudremukh employees cleared the area to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and improved visibility on the highway. Additionally, silt and garbage accumulated along the bridge and the water pipeline were removed.
The Chief General Manager I/c Mangalore, Sri P. Palani, and the KIOCL Swachh Bharat Committee Coordinator & Assistant General Manager (HR & Admin.), Sri Chethan K. Shetty, along with other officers, employees, and trainees of the company, actively participated in this successful initiative.
