Mangaluru: In a formal handover ceremony held on Wednesday evening, Darshan H.V. officially assumed duties as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district.

The administrative baton was passed on by the outgoing DC, Mullai Muhilan M.P., during a meeting organized for the transition. The event marked a smooth and respectful transfer of responsibilities between the two senior officers.

Mullai Muhilan M.P., who took charge of the district on June 17, 2023, has now been relocated following the completion of a two-year term. His tenure is noted for addressing various administrative challenges and contributing to district development initiatives.

Darshan H.V.’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Dakshina Kannada continues to tackle issues related to urban development, disaster preparedness, and public service delivery. His leadership is expected to bring fresh momentum to ongoing projects and governance reforms.
