Mangaluru: Doctors, the true guardians of public health, were celebrated at a special Doctors’ Day programme hosted by Prasad Netralaya Super Speciality Eye Hospital on July 10. The event paid tribute to their selfless service, often regarded as next only to divinity.

Inaugurating the celebration, Dr H R Thimmaiah, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, emphasized the vital role doctors play in saving lives and building a healthier society. He also encouraged medical professionals to maintain a balance between their demanding careers and family life to ensure overall well-being.

Dr Krishna Prasad Kudlu, Medical Director of Prasad Netralaya, presided over the event and shed light on the significance of Doctors’ Day, the evolving challenges in the medical field, and the need for constant technological upgrades in healthcare.

Dr Sujay Kumar, Taluk Health Officer, also addressed the gathering, while hospital Managing Director Rashmi Krishna Prasad, along with senior ophthalmologists Dr Vikram Jain, Dr Harish Shetty, Dr Jacob Chacko, and Dr Shibin Girish, were present on stage.
