The recent session on “Empowering Youth” organized by Young Indians (Yi) highlighted the significance of empowering the younger generation to contribute effectively to society. Yi, part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), aims to engage Indian youth in shaping the future of India through convergence, leadership, and co-creation.

Yi invites individuals of Indian descent aged between 21 and 40 to join, with membership extending up to 45 for existing members. It welcomes professionals from diverse fields—lawyers, doctors, farmers, entrepreneurs, and NGO workers—who are committed to nation-building and chapter initiatives. The organization’s core pillars include Youth Leadership, Nation Building, and Thought Leadership.

The session covered various Yi initiatives, including Yuva, Learning Mission, International Engagement, Learning Sessions, and National Summit. Key areas of focus for Yi are Accessibility, Climate Change, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, International Membership, Project Masoom, Project Road Safety, Rural Initiatives, and TogetHer Tribe.

Sabina D’Souza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, coordinated the program. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Razwa Quasim from III BA.

The event underscored the vital role of youth in shaping India’s future and provided valuable insights into Yi’s ongoing efforts and projects.
