Sullia: In a charming twist of coincidence, the Government High School in Enmur, Sullia taluk, is witnessing something extraordinary this academic year — five pairs of twins enrolled and studying together, drawing attention from across the region.

Enmur, a place steeped in the folklore of Tulu Nadu’s legendary twin warriors Koti and Chennayya, now sees this real-life “twin phenomenon” unfolding within its classrooms. Of the five twin pairs, four are in Class 8 and one pair is in Class 10. Among them, three pairs are boys and two are girls.

Difficult to Tell Apart

Teachers admit to being frequently confused due to the striking physical similarities among the twins. To ease classroom management, the school has placed Class 8 twins in separate sections, while the Class 10 twins share the same class, as there is only one section.

More Than Just Looks

Interestingly, these twins are similar not only in appearance but also in interests, academic performance, and even personality traits. Teachers say that although twins are seen almost every year, having five pairs at once is unprecedented in the school’s history.

Meet the Twin Pairs:

  • Yashwith KC & Yashwin KC – Class 8, sons of Chandrashekhar and Pushpavati

  • Chayan & Chayank – Class 8, sons of Dayananda and Harinakshi

  • Fatima Tasma & Amina Tasma – Class 8, daughters of Mohammad Basheer and Rahmat

  • Hiba Fathima & Shifa Fathima – Class 8, daughters of Dawood and Khairunnisa

  • Bhavan P & Bhavin P – Class 10, sons of Bhuvaneshwar and Chandrakala

  • This delightful scenario has not only amused teachers and classmates but also turned Enmur’s school into a local sensation, celebrating its own kind of twin legacy.
