Mangaluru— Father Muller Medical College Hospital will inaugurate its Baandavya Child Development Centre (CDC) on August 12, offering a full range of specialised services to support the growth, development, and well-being of children.
Dr Anil Shetty K, Professor and Head of the Paediatrics Department, said the centre is designed as a multidisciplinary hub for developmental assessment, counselling, intervention, parental guidance, and tailored therapy for children and adolescents facing developmental delays, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, autism, ADHD, speech and language impairments, and motor skill challenges.
The Baandavya CDC will bring together developmental paediatricians, child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, audiologists, speech and language pathologists, paediatric physiotherapists, counsellors, special educators, occupational therapists, and nutritionists — all working collaboratively under one roof.
With the hospital’s 145-year tradition of compassionate, high-quality healthcare, Dr Shetty emphasised that the centre will follow a family-focused, evidence-based approach while keeping services affordable.
The launch event will be attended by consultant neurologist and medical director of First Neuro Hospital, Dr Rajesh Shetty, Father Muller Charitable Institutions Director Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, along with other dignitaries.
