Mangaluru: “Our goal is to become the leading ice cream brand in the state,” declared Pradeep G Pai, Managing Director of Hangyo Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd., at a special meet for distributors and retailers at Avatar Hotel, Mangaluru.

Expanding Horizons with Innovation

Addressing attendees, Mr. Pai emphasized the importance of innovation and expansion in a competitive market. “Hangyo is among the top 12 brands in India and currently ranks No. 2 in Karnataka. Our journey has been remarkable, and we are dedicated to reaching greater heights,” he added.

From a Small Unit to a Regional Powerhouse

Founded in Brahmavara on February 1, 2003, Hangyo has grown into a seven-state operation spanning Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, and Maharashtra with a network of 410+ distributors. Mr. Pai credited this growth to the unwavering support of distributors and retailers.

Scaling Up with Advanced Manufacturing

Dinesh Shenoy, COO of Hangyo Ice Cream, highlighted the industry’s rapid growth, with revenues reaching ₹800-900 crore in 2024-2025. “Over 28 crore customers have enjoyed our products, crafted at two state-of-the-art manufacturing units with a daily output of 1.25 lakh liters. We are now expanding with a third facility in Tirupati to enhance production,” he announced.

RCB Partnership & New Product Launch

Reaffirming its association with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a second IPL season, Hangyo also unveiled its new logo unit. Strengthening its premium product lineup, the brand introduced ‘Choco Roadie’, an indulgent addition to the popular RAVE series.

The event saw the presence of key figures, including Deepa Pai (VP – Branding), Simon Miranda (Ex VP), Sri Krishna Pai (Head – Business Development), and Mahesh Shivaram (GM – Marketing & Branding), alongside media and business partners.
