Mangaluru is gearing up for the highly anticipated second edition of the India Paddle Festival, the nation’s premier international Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) competition. Set against the scenic Sasihithlu Beach, the event will take place from March 7 to 9, drawing elite global paddlers, regional participants, and water sports lovers.

Hosted by the Surfing Swami Foundation and backed by Karnataka Tourism, this festival follows the resounding success of its 2024 debut, which introduced India’s first-ever international SUP championship. This year’s event promises to be even grander, providing Indian athletes with a golden opportunity to challenge top-tier global competitors.

Tristan Boxford, CEO of the APP World Tour, expressed enthusiasm about India’s potential in the Stand-Up Paddling domain, stating, “We are excited to witness world-class talent converge in Mangaluru, inspiring the country’s upcoming paddlers.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Dhananjay Shetty, Director of the Surfing Swami Foundation, emphasized the significance of this event in strengthening India’s SUP and surfing scene. “Last year’s festival was a turning point for Indian paddlers, offering them vital international exposure. Bringing it back proves the sport’s growing momentum in the country,” he remarked.
