Following a request from Mangalore City North MLA Y Bharath Shetty, an inspection of the proposed Keonics Software Park near Blue Berry Hills within Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) limits was conducted on Saturday. The inspection was led by MLA Y Bharath Shetty, who was joined by Keonics chairman Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda and other key officials.

During the inspection, discussions focused on road widening initiatives in the area to support the upcoming development of the park. This marks a significant step forward for the project, which is expected to contribute to the region’s IT-BT sector.

Later, a review meeting on the establishment of the IT-BT Park was held at the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting was attended by key figures including Keonics chairman Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda, DK MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, DC Mullai Muhilan, MCC Commissioner Ravichandra Naik, and CREDAI members.

The proposed park is set to create significant employment opportunities for local youths, fostering growth in the IT sector and boosting Mangaluru’s economic landscape.
