Mangaluru: Ivory Inn, a new fully air-conditioned luxury dormitory offering budget-friendly accommodation, was inaugurated on Monday at Ivory Enclave, Attavar. The ceremony began with a dua by Mohammed Kunhi, Khateeb of Masjid-ul-Huda and manager of Shanti Prakashan, Mangaluru.
Designed for students, working professionals, and travellers, the facility provides daily, weekly, and monthly plans. Amenities include furnished beds, daily housekeeping, high-speed Wi-Fi, CCTV security, lift access, essential kits, and car parking.
Vaslane ward corporator Naveen D’Souza praised the venture for meeting accommodation standards expected in a smart city like Mangaluru, wishing the owners success. Mohammed Kunhi called the concept both unique and timely, noting that visitors often book costly hotel rooms just to freshen up. The dormitory, he said, offers a practical alternative.
Owners Rizwan Pandeshwar, Ashraf, and Noushad Metro announced an innovative “freshen-up” plan at ₹200, allowing guests to check in, refresh within two hours, and check out. A 24-hour stay is priced at ₹500.
The launch was attended by several business and community leaders, including Niyaz AK (Chairman, AK Group of Companies), Haneef PS (Partner, Apple Mart), K. Hasainar (Chairman, Swadesh Group), Adil Parvez (President, HIF India), Mohiddin Usman, UK Bava, Nawazuddin, Sajid AK, SM Farooq (Director, SM Group of Companies), and architect Nisar (Chairman, Shepherd International Academy).
