Puttur: Gangavathi MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy paid a devotional visit to the Areltadi temple located in Savanoor village, Kadaba taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

During the Brahmakalashotsava celebrations held at the temple on May 13, Reddy and his family, Areltadi Irveer Ullaku and Kedenjodittai, were absent due to Reddy’s involvement in the Obulapuram illegal mining case in Andhra Pradesh. At that time, his close aides offered prayers on his behalf, pleading for his early release from custody.

It is said that the temple deity, Kedenjodittai, had spiritually assured Reddy’s release within a month. True to this divine promise, Gali Janardhana Reddy was granted freedom within the predicted period.

In a gesture of gratitude, Reddy visited the Iruvere Ullakulu and Kedenjodittai temples today on the occasion of Sankrama, a spiritually significant day. He performed special rituals and offerings as thanksgiving for the blessings received.

The event saw the presence of prominent leaders including former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Murulya, and Legislative Council member Kishore Kumar Puttur, among others.

This symbolic visit marked Reddy’s return to his spiritual roots and fulfillment of a promise made during challenging times.
