Mangaluru: KMC Hospital Mangalore on the occasion of International Women’s Day will host WOW (Women of Wonder), an awareness programme on women’s health, on Saturday, 7th March 2026. The programme will focus on menopause and the role of family support, preventive health check-ups and vaccinations to reduce cancer risk, high-risk pregnancy and postpartum depression, menstruation, PCOD and hormonal changes, the role of health supplements in fitness and diet, and the safety of hair, skin and beauty products.
The event aims to bring together homemakers, working professionals, entrepreneurs, influencers, fitness enthusiasts, spouses and family members for an engaging discussion on key health issues affecting women across different life stages.
The expert panel will feature Dr. Vidyashri Kamath, Consultant – OBG, who will speak about menopause management and the importance of family involvement during this transition; Dr. Deepak Shedde, Consultant – OBG, will address high-risk pregnancies and maternal care; Dr. Sameena H, Consultant – OBG, will speak on menstrual health, PCOD and hormonal balance; Dr. Shrinath Pratap Shetty, Consultant – Endocrinology, will be explaining hormonal disorders and metabolic health concerns in women; Dr. Vinaya Poornima, Consultant – Radio Diagnosis & Imaging, will be highlighting the role of early screening and imaging in cancer prevention and women’s health; and Ms. Mehwish Hussain, Certified Marathon, Strength & Conditioning and Yoga Coach, will share insights on fitness, supplementation and sustainable lifestyle practices for women.
