Mangaluru: Krishna J Palemar, chairman and CEO of Land Links and Vikas Education Trust, was conferred the prestigious Press Club Guest of Honour Award at a ceremony held at the Press Club on Wednesday.

Kadri Navneeth Shetty, CEO of Namma Kudla Channel, inaugurated the event and presided over the ceremony.

In his address, Palemar urged young people to embrace life’s challenges, emphasizing that overcoming obstacles is vital to achieving success. “Many youths today struggle with minor setbacks and resort to extreme measures. Life’s difficulties are necessary; they shape resilience and success,” he remarked.

Expressing gratitude, Palemar credited LC D’Souza for guiding his journey into the real estate sector. Reflecting on his public service as an MLA and Minister, he stated, “I am content with the work I have done for the people.”

Prominent attendees included Srinivas Nayak Indaje, president of the District Working Journalists Union; P.B. Harish Rai, president of the Mangaluru Press Club; Ramakrishna R, president of the Patrika Bhavan Trust; Ibrahim Adkastala, general secretary; and Wilfred D’Souza, programme convenor.

The event celebrated Palemar’s contributions to education, real estate, and public service, recognizing his efforts in shaping the community.
