Madrasa Teacher Displays Honesty by Returning Found Cash in Bantwal

In a remarkable display of honesty, a madrasa teacher in Bantwal, Abdul Mazeed Faizi, returned Rs 2.43 lakh in cash that he found on Kelaginapete Road in the taluk.

Abdul Mazeed Faizi, who teaches at Manazul Islam Madrasa, discovered the bundle of cash while crossing the road at Kelaginapete on the morning of May 28. Upon opening it, he found currency notes inside and immediately reported the matter to the Madrasa administrative committee.

Upon verification with the locals, the administrative committee confirmed that the cash belonged to Sripati Srikant Bhat, a local resident. Bhat expressed his gratitude after retrieving the cash from Abdul Mazeed Faizi.
