Mangaluru– A spiritually vibrant Mahalakshmi Puja was celebrated with grandeur at the historic Mangaladevi Temple, bringing an auspicious close to the countrywide religious festivities.

This year marked the 45th anniversary of the Mahalakshmi Puja, drawing devotees from all walks of life who gathered in reverence to seek blessings from the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

The celebrations were led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and Matruvahini Vati, who collectively ensured the traditional and cultural sanctity of the rituals. Special offerings were made to the “sumangalis” (auspicious married women), symbolizing prosperity and harmony in society.

The sacred rituals included homas, devotional chants, and prasad distribution, adding a divine aura to the temple premises. The puja not only highlighted the spiritual heritage of Mangaluru but also reflected the unity and devotion of the community in upholding age-old traditions.

The Mahalakshmi Puja continues to be a beacon of spiritual strength and cultural identity, particularly in the coastal regions of Karnataka.
