An incident unfolded on Wednesday morning when members of the notorious Chaddi gang, a constant headache for local law enforcement, attempted to flee police custody.

Just yesterday (Tuesday), a swift police operation led to the arrest of four gang members in Sakaleshpur, who were then transported to Mangalore.

Following a robbery, the gang fled to Mulki in a stolen car from the same house they targeted and later boarded a bus bound for Bangalore. Today, police summoned the suspects under the pretext of retrieving the abandoned car and, during an ensuing confrontation, shot two of them—Raju Singhwani and Bali—in self-defense.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Raju Singhwani (24) from Guna district in Madhya Pradesh, Mayur (30) from Bhopal, Bali (22), and Vicky (21), both hailing from Guna district.
