The Mangaluru City Police have filed a petition in the jurisdictional court seeking custody of Roshan Saldanha, the prime accused in an alleged multi-crore investment fraud case. Saldanha, a resident of Bajal in Mangaluru, is currently under judicial custody.
He is accused of misleading multiple individuals across Dakshina Kannada and other regions by offering fraudulent investment schemes that promised high returns. Several complaints have been lodged, including one case where an individual reportedly lost ₹10 crore.
Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy confirmed that forged documents, shell companies, and complex financial tactics were allegedly used to gain investor trust. Officials now aim to conduct custodial interrogation to:
- Trace the flow of funds
- Identify possible accomplices
- Verify the number of victims involved
The investigation team suspects Saldanha operated through multiple entities to project authenticity and attract investors. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the scale of the financial losses involved.
Authorities are urging any additional victims or those with relevant information to come forward. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are expected once the accused is taken into police custody for questioning.
