A 46-year-old man from Fermai near Ulayibettu ended his life, blaming MCC Bank Chairman Anil Lobo for alleged harassment over loan repayment.
Tragic incident and allegations
The deceased, identified as Manohar Pereira, reportedly faced financial distress following losses during the Covid-19 pandemic. He had taken a loan from MCC Bank to construct his house, which remained incomplete and was eventually confiscated due to non-repayment.

Before taking the extreme step, Pereira posted a video on social media accusing MCC Bank Chairman Anil Lobo of harassment related to his loan.
