Sudhakar, a 52-year-old auto-electrician from Ekkur, Mangaluru, who worked in Al Ain for 15 years, gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation after being declared brain dead in Abu Dhabi. His organs—lungs, liver, and kidneys—were successfully transplanted into four recipients on December 23 at Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi.

Sudhakar fell ill on December 14, experiencing dizziness at work. Despite medical intervention and surgery for a brain clot, he suffered a cardiac arrest and was declared brain dead on December 18. His family, including his wife Seema and elder brother Ganesh, made the heartfelt decision to donate his organs, honoring his memory by giving others a chance at life.

Ganesh shared that authorities supported the family through this difficult time, facilitating job support for Sudhakar’s children, Sakshi, 20, and Sakshath, 11, and ensuring his remains were respectfully transported to Mangaluru. The final rites were performed on December 27.

“We are proud that even in death, Sudhakar brought hope to others,” Ganesh said, expressing gratitude for the moral and logistical assistance extended to the family.

The family now looks forward to support for the children’s education, ensuring their future is secured as a tribute to Sudhakar’s selfless act.
