The Karnataka Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shikshak Sangh, Mangaluru division, has announced a two-year Tree Plantation Competition for 2025–2027 to encourage environmental stewardship.
Teaching and non-teaching staff from primary, high school, pre-university, degree, and postgraduate institutions in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kodagu districts are invited to participate.
Participants must plant saplings of fruit-bearing or beneficial trees—such as mango, jackfruit, or jamun—between June 5 and July 31, 2025.
To track progress, participants must submit photos or videos of the plants’ growth every six months.
The competition will conclude on June 5, 2027, when the 10 individuals who have nurtured the healthiest trees will be recognised and awarded at a special ceremony.
