Mangaluru: MCC Bank Ltd, a trusted name in coastal Karnataka’s banking sector, has announced the opening of its 20th branch in Byndoor on August 3, 2025, marking a major milestone in its 113-year journey. The announcement was made at a press meet held at the bank’s head office in Hampankatta, Mangaluru.
Stellar growth and strong performance
MCC Bank has recorded total business turnover of ₹1,300 crore for the financial year ending 31st March 2025 — a 20% increase from the previous year. The bank’s net worth has risen to ₹83.76 crore, up from ₹76 crore. These figures underline the institution’s growing popularity, including support from NRI customers.
Chairman Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo highlighted the bank’s steady expansion and said,
“From a regional player, MCC Bank has grown into a state-level institution serving all of Karnataka. Our technological upgrades and customer focus are the reasons for this consistent growth.”
Growth since 2018 under Anil Lobo’s leadership
Under the leadership of Anil Lobo and his board since 2018, MCC Bank has seen exponential progress:
- Deposits: ₹304 Cr → ₹728 Cr (Growth: 139%)
- Loans & Advances: ₹191 Cr → ₹572 Cr (Growth: 199%)
- Share Capital: ₹13 Cr → ₹33 Cr (Growth: 154%)
- Reserves: ₹29 Cr → ₹79 Cr (Growth: 172%)
- Business Turnover: ₹496 Cr → ₹1,300 Cr (Growth: 162%)
- CRAR: 11.70% → 18.92% (Growth: 62%)
- Return on Assets: 0.56% → 1.40% (Growth: 150%)
The bank has also opened three new branches in Brahmavar, Belthangady, and Belman, and is working to expand across Karnataka. The 21st branch will be opened on October 5, 2025.
Byndoor branch inauguration on August 3
The inauguration at Byndoor will be presided over by Chairman Anil Lobo. The branch will be blessed by Rev. Fr Vincent Coelho, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Byndoor. MLA Gururaj Gantehole will be the chief guest.
