Mangalore: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), in partnership with CAD Foundation Trust, has bolstered primary healthcare in Dakshina Kannada by distributing 64 ECG machines to Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Namma Clinics. This ₹18.80 lakh initiative aims to provide better diagnostic support and improve healthcare infrastructure in the district.

The formal distribution event took place at the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Hall, attended by prominent figures, including the Zilla Panchayat CEO, District Health Officer (DHO), and District Medical Officer (DMO) from Wenlock Hospital. Shri Manoj Kumar A, CGM of MRPL, and Dr. Padmanabh Kamat, President of CAD Foundation Trust, were key contributors to the programme.

Strengthening healthcare at the grassroots

Shri Manoj Kumar A reaffirmed MRPL’s commitment to social welfare, stating, “Healthcare is a fundamental right, and we aim to enhance diagnostic capabilities at the grassroots. This initiative empowers healthcare workers and enables timely interventions.”

Dr. Padmanabh Kamat stressed the importance of early cardiac diagnostics, particularly in rural areas, where such facilities can significantly impact public health outcomes.
