Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) observed the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas on 6 December 2025, honouring Bharat Ratna Dr B. R. Ambedkar — the Father of the Indian Constitution and a global icon of equality and social justice.

Shri Mundkur Shyam Prasad Kamath, Managing Director, Shri Nanda Kumar V Pillai, Director (Refinery), Shri Devendra Kumar, Director (Finance), Shri Ganesh S. Bhat, CVO, along with senior officials and MSSEWA office bearers, offered floral tributes at the statue of Dr Ambedkar near the MRPL Admin Building.

The gathering reflected on Ambedkar’s monumental contributions — from championing human rights to laying the foundations for a democratic, equitable India.

Blood Donation Camp Inaugurated

Earlier in the day, Shri Nanda Kumar V Pillai and Shri Devendra Kumar inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the MRPL SC/ST Employees Welfare Association (MSSEWA) in collaboration with Wenlock District Hospital, Mangaluru.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Nanda Kumar emphasized Ambedkar’s vision for social upliftment, judicial reform, and economic empowerment — values that continue to inspire India’s development trajectory.

Active Participation and Social Commitment

Senior officials including Shri Krishna Hegde Miyar, GGM–HR, Shri Rajeev H. S., GGM–HSE, Shri Yuvaraj M. K., President (MSSEWA), Shri Dharanendra R. A., General Secretary (MSSEWA), and office bearers graced the event.

The blood donation camp witnessed overwhelming participation from employees, dependents, and secondary workforce members, reflecting MRPL’s strong dedication to community welfare and inclusive growth.
