Mangaluru: In a noteworthy effort to support student health, Podar International School, Mangaluru, organized a two-day eye care camp in partnership with Prasad Netralaya Hospital.
The camp was held on July 18 and August 4 at the school premises, providing free and thorough eye examinations to all students. The initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of eye health and identifying vision-related issues at an early stage.
As part of the program, students received detailed eye screenings conducted by a team of specialists from Prasad Netralaya. In addition to the examinations, sessions were held to educate children on healthy eye habits, especially crucial in an era of increased screen time and digital learning.
School authorities extended sincere thanks to the medical team for their commitment and professional care. Parents and staff also praised the effort, recognizing it as a valuable step toward ensuring students’ overall well-being.
Such initiatives reflect the school’s dedication not just to academics, but also to the holistic development and health of its students.
