Dakshina Kannada: NIA officials have made another arrest in connection with the murder case of BJP Yuva Morcha Leader Praveen Nettaru. The arrested accused, Riaz Yusuf Haralli, was apprehended at Mumbai International Airport while attempting to flee abroad. This brings the total number of arrested individuals in the case to 19. Just last month, Mustafa Paichar was also arrested in Sakaleshpur.
The fourth suspect in Praveen Nettaru’s murder case was taken into custody by NIA officials on May 10 near Anemahal in Sakleshpur, Hassan district. Mustafa Paichar, a resident of Shantinagar in Sullya, was brought to the Bangalore NIA office for further questioning. The recent arrest further progresses the investigation into this tragic incident.
On July 26, 2022, Praveen Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha activist, was fatally shot near his chicken shop in Bellare, Sulya taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Praveen succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, the perpetrators fled in different directions, prompting a thorough investigation by NIA officials. With the latest arrest, the case has seen significant developments and is continuing to be pursued diligently by authorities.
