Mangaluru: A district-level preparatory meeting for the upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday. The meeting aimed to review arrangements for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination, scheduled for May 4, 2025.

DK Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Anand K chaired the session and emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and strict adherence to guidelines. He instructed all concerned departments to implement necessary arrangements, including the installation of CCTV cameras at all examination centres, in line with national protocols to ensure transparency and prevent malpractices.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr G Santosh Kumar provided further details, informing that a total of 21 centres across the district have been designated for the examination. He added that 9,080 aspirants have registered to appear for NEET 2025 from the region.

Dr Kumar assured that comprehensive measures will be in place to ensure the smooth execution of the exam, including adequate security, proper infrastructure, uninterrupted power supply, and medical facilities. Special attention will be given to candidates’ safety and comfort throughout the process.

Authorities have also urged candidates and parents to stay informed about official instructions and updates regarding NEET 2025. The district administration is working in close coordination with all stakeholders to guarantee a hassle-free and fair examination environment.
