On Saturday morning, a car traveling from B C Road to Mangaluru crashed into the compound wall of the 110/11 KV substation at B C Road Talapady after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver sustained minor injuries, and no case has been filed at the Bantwal traffic police station regarding the incident.

This location has a history of accidents, raising significant safety concerns. Just two days prior, another car fell into a pit after the driver lost control at the same spot. The combination of high speeds on the highway and a sharp bend frequently causes vehicles to lose control, making this stretch particularly hazardous.

Local residents, including a junior engineer working at the substation, have expressed their worries about the safety of waiting for buses on the roadside. The repeated accidents highlight the urgent need for improved safety measures and stricter speed regulations at this dangerous bend to prevent further mishaps and ensure the safety of all road users.
