Dakshina Kannada – MP Brijesh Chowta announced that the Railway Department has introduced two special train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru to accommodate heavy passenger traffic during the upcoming Ganesha Chaturthi festival.

He stated that the decision was taken following persistent requests to ensure smooth travel for devotees wishing to return to their hometowns for the celebrations. These trains are scheduled to operate just before the festival, providing a much-needed travel option amid increased demand.

Expressing his gratitude, Chowta thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna for responding promptly and making special arrangements for the benefit of passengers.

He added that such initiatives strengthen cultural bonds by enabling families to celebrate important festivals together without travel hurdles.
