On March 21, 2025, a group of 160 second-year BCom students from St Agnes College, accompanied by four faculty members, embarked on an educational visit to Kalbavi Food Pvt Ltd, a leading cashew processing company. The visit aimed to offer students a firsthand understanding of the cashew industry’s operations.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by company officials, who provided a detailed presentation on the various stages of cashew processing—from procurement, steaming, and shelling to drying, peeling, grading, and packaging. They observed the combination of manual labor and advanced machinery used to enhance efficiency in production. Additionally, the session shed light on quality control measures and export procedures.
