Mangaluru: In anticipation of heavy festive travel, the South Western Railway (SWR) has revised its plan and announced two round trips of special trains between Yeshwanthpur and Mangaluru Central, along with one special service between SSS Hubballi and Yeshwanthpur, to manage the passenger surge during Vinayaka Chaturthi.

Revised schedule for Yeshwanthpur – Mangaluru Central specials

SWR has introduced two round trips:

  • Train No. 06251 will depart Yeshwanthpur at 11:55 pm on August 25 and reach Mangaluru Central at 11:45 am on August 26.

  • Train No. 06252 will depart Mangaluru Central at 10:00 pm on August 26 and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 10:40 pm the same night.

  • For the additional round trip:

    • Train No. 06253 will leave Yeshwanthpur at 11:55 pm on August 26, arriving at Mangaluru Central at 11:45 am on August 27.

  • Train No. 06254 will depart Mangaluru Central at 2:15 pm on August 27 and reach Yeshwanthpur at 11:30 pm.

  • These trains will halt at Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantwal. Coaches will include AC two-tier, AC three-tier, sleeper class, general second class, and luggage-cum-brake vans.

    Hubballi – Yeshwanthpur special service

    Originally planned as a Hubballi – Mangaluru trip, SWR has modified the schedule to operate a single round trip between Hubballi and Yeshwanthpur:

    • Train No. 07341 will leave SSS Hubballi at 3:30 pm on August 25 and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 10:40 pm the same day.

  • Train No. 07342 will depart Yeshwanthpur at 12:15 am on August 28 and reach SSS Hubballi at 9:45 am.

  • Halts will include SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere and Tumakuru.
