Belthangady – A serious road accident occurred on the Guruvayanakere-Karkala route near Aladangady on the evening of April 21, leaving three individuals critically injured.
The collision involved two cars traveling in opposite directions — one heading from Aladangady to Guruvayanakere, and the other en route from Guruvayanakere to Karkala. The crash resulted in a violent impact, drawing immediate attention from bystanders and passersby.
The injured have been identified as Kusumavathi (75), Bhagyavathi (50), and Vaibhav (23). All three victims were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is reported to be serious but stable, according to early updates.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or negligence played a role.
