A Tiranga Yatra will be conducted on Wednesday, August 14, in Dakshina Kannada, starting from Karavali Utsav Grounds and concluding at Manjeshwar Govind Pai Circle. Organized on the eve of Independence Day, the Yatra aims to celebrate the unity and integrity of the nation.

Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta emphasized the significance of this event, urging citizens to actively participate in the Yatra. He highlighted that only cloth-made flags will be used to uphold the dignity of the national flag. The Yatra is set to commence at 3.30 pm, with students from various schools expected to join in large numbers, reflecting the spirit of patriotism.

In addition to the Yatra, an exhibition will be held at Bhuvanendra Hall of Canara School, Dongerkeri. The exhibition will focus on educating the public about the traumatic days of Partition, aiming to create awareness and promote unity among the diverse communities of the nation.

This event serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of national unity and the ongoing efforts to preserve the integrity of the country, especially during times of remembrance like Independence Day.
