A fatal car accident occurred in the early hours of October 14 near Bambila on the National Highway connecting B C Road to Belthangady. The car, driven by Roopesh (50), lost control and plunged into a low-lying areca plantation.
Bhagirathi (58) from Kodialbail, Mangaluru, tragically lost her life in the accident. Roopesh, who sustained serious injuries, and his wife Suchitra (33), who suffered minor injuries, were also in the car. The family was returning from Tumkur after Bhagirathi’s visit for Dasara celebrations.
The accident occurred at a curve near Bambila mosque around 4:30 am.
