Renowned Tulu theatre and film comedian Vivek Maduru (52) passed away following a heart attack at his home in Maduru.
Vivek resided with his wife, Vedavati, at his brother’s house in Ullal Taluk. Earlier, he managed an STD telephone booth, but after its closure, he assisted in selling plastic household goods at his brother’s grocery store.
A celebrated comedian, Vivek was a key figure in coastal Karnataka’s theatre scene, performing with leading troupes and sharing the screen with top Coastalwood actors. He was also an active member of the Tulu Theater Artists’ Association and received numerous accolades for his contributions.
His sudden demise has left the Tulu artistic fraternity and Coastalwood film industry in mourning, with many expressing heartfelt condolences.
