In a rare and fascinating incident, a cow in Kinnigoli, Mangalore, has given birth to a calf with two heads, according to a report by Local18. The cow belongs to Jayarama Jogi, a resident of Damas Katte Dujlaguri. The calf, which shares a single body, has four eyes—two of which are functional, while the middle ones are not.
The unique calf is currently unable to stand due to the weight of its heads, which is heavier than its body. Family members are feeding the calf using a baby feeder and are concerned about its health. Although it’s the cow’s second calf, this female newborn is drawing significant attention due to its unusual condition.
A veterinarian has examined the calf and declared it healthy for now, but its future well-being will depend heavily on how it’s cared for. The phenomenon of such a birth is incredibly rare, with a similar case reported in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in 2016. In that instance, locals hailed the calf as a “godly incarnation,” given the revered status of cows in Hinduism.
Locals have already started visiting the household, with some considering this a divine sign.
