In two unrelated incidents emerging from the Shivabagh and Bikarnakatte areas, Kadri police have apprehended two young individuals for allegedly using ganja in open public locations.
The suspects, identified as Jnanesh Rai, aged 20, and Kaushik, aged 21, both residents of Bikarnakatte, were found indulging in the illegal activity at different spots. Their suspicious behavior in public areas drew the attention of patrol officers, leading to their detention on the spot.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of law concerning narcotics use in public spaces. Police sources have mentioned that separate cases have been officially registered, and investigations are ongoing to check for possible links to supply chains or repeat offenses.
Authorities have reiterated their warning that public drug use will be dealt with sternly, especially in areas frequently used by families and commuters. Police have also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity immediately to help maintain the sanctity and safety of communal spaces.
