Mr. Tyson Baptist D Cunha, a native of Madanthyar in Belthangady, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree by the prestigious National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal.

His doctoral thesis, titled “Design and Development of Blockchain-Based Authentication Protocols for IoT Devices Using Physical Unclonable Functions,” presents cutting-edge research in the field of cybersecurity. The study focuses on enhancing security mechanisms for the Internet of Things (IoT) by leveraging cryptographic primitives, quantum cryptography, and decentralized blockchain technologies.

Mr. Cunha carried out his research under the guidance of Dr. Kiran M, from the Department of Information Technology at NITK. His work introduces innovative methods to ensure secure device authentication in an increasingly interconnected digital environment.

Currently employed at EG DK Pvt Ltd, Mr. Cunha’s contributions are seen as timely and significant, addressing critical challenges in the domain of secure communication for smart devices.
