A young man sustained serious injuries in a wild boar attack while riding his two-wheeler near Kurunja Mannapu in Ariadka village, Puttur taluk, on Tuesday morning. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Dhanush, a local resident and manager of Kumbra Petrol Station, was on his way to work when the incident occurred.

As Dhanush reached Kurunja Mannapu, a wild boar suddenly leaped onto his scooter, causing him to lose control and fall. The boar then attacked him, biting his right hand and inflicting severe injuries on other parts of his body.

Dhanush was immediately rushed to Puttur Government Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. The incident has raised concerns in the local community about the increasing encounters with wild animals in the area.
