A youth was taken into custody by Konaje police for inappropriate behavior toward a girl near Kampadi in Boliyar village.
The incident occurred as the girl was heading to a private hospital in Mangaluru. The boy, riding a scooter, reportedly acted inappropriately toward the girl. Witnesses at the scene stepped in to protect her and prevent further trouble.
The girl reported the incident to members of the Catholic Sabha. Leaders including Alwyn D’Souza Paneer, central president of the Sabha, and Robert, vice president of the Ammebala Church Pastoral Committee, responded quickly and offered support.
With assistance from locals, the boy was handed over to the authorities. Konaje police are investigating the case to gather more details. The incident highlights the importance of community action in addressing such issues.
