Microsoft Rolls Out OpenAI's o1 Model-Powered Think Deeper for Copilot Users

Microsoft is now offering OpenAI’s flagship o1 reasoning model to all Copilot users, providing enhanced capabilities for more complex queries, detailed suggestions, and insightful comparisons. This feature, known as Think Deeper, was initially introduced in Copilot Labs as an experimental tool, and its integration with the o1 reasoning model takes it to a new level of sophistication.

Think Deeper powered by the o1 model allows Copilot AI to offer in-depth advice on a range of complex topics, such as career transitions, educational milestones, job hunting strategies, and industry trends. It can even guide users in planning projects with a step-by-step approach, making it a powerful tool for those seeking personalized, detailed responses.

To activate Think Deeper in the Copilot mobile app, users need to:

Sign in with a Microsoft account.
Enter a query and tap the “three-dot” icon beside the text field.
Select “Think Deeper” from the menu.

Copilot will then process the request, taking about 30 seconds to analyze the query from all angles before responding. Microsoft’s CEO of AI, Mustafa Suleyman, emphasized that the feature is designed to help users engage deeply with topics and get personalized, thoughtful responses. The o1-powered Think Deeper is now available to all Copilot users without requiring a subscription.
