New Delhi : Officials said on Thursday that the Delhi Traffic Police had impounded the autorickshaw and given its driver a challan after a video of a man doing a stunt while hanging from it went viral on social media.
Shiva, a resident of Ghaziabad, has been recognized as the driver.
A man is seen hanging from the autorickshaw as it crosses the Signature Bridge in the video, which went viral on social media.
The ensuing collision with a cyclist on the left was documented by a passing biker’s helmet-mounted camera, which provided insight into the careless event.

“The auto involved has been impounded, and Shiva has been located by Delhi Traffic Police personnel. Legal repercussions are imminent,” said a senior traffic cop.
“Taking cognisance of this viral video, Delhi Traffic Police traced the Auto and challan for Dangerous driving, Without DL and other appropriate sections of MV Act has been issued,” the Delhi Police wrote on X, while sharing the video of the incident.
