In the Dungarpur district of Rajasthan, a man is accused of killing his father, sixty, and burying the body in his home, according to police on Saturday.
On Wednesday, after a furious dispute, the accused, Chunni Lal, attacked his father, Rajeng Baranda, by striking him on the head with a sharp object.
Chunni Lal buried Mr. Baranda’s body in his home’s courtyard after he passed away instantly, according to the police.
Chunni Lal, Pappu, Dinesh, and Prakash were the victim’s four sons. The other siblings lived in Balwara village in Dungarpur, and Baranda shared a house with Chunni Lal, while Prakash and his mother lived in Ahmedabad, according to the police.
After two days, Dinesh and Pappu had not seen their father, so they called Prakash to let him know. Prakash approached Chunni Lal in the village when he and his mother arrived.
Chunni Lal initially made up tales about his absence, but on Friday, the family went to the police after he confessed to killing him, according to the police.
They said that the body was dug up from the courtyard and placed in the district hospital mortuary.
They also said Chunni Lal has been taken into custody and a case has been filed under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with murder.
