The Sultanpur murder case, in which a BJP leader’s relative and a muder accused of killing him on Sunday, April 7, after an altercation in the Dariyapur area left another man injured, has been captured on camera by the police. Contrary to previous assumptions, the CCTV reveals that two accused persons were involved in Vijay Narayan Singh’s death. After firing shots at Singh, both accused fled on a motorcycle, resulting in Singh’s death.
The CCTV footage gave police important clues regarding the case. Vijay Narayan Singh (45) who himself was a murder accused in the killing of a doctor in September 2023, was shot dead following a drunken brawl on April 7. Vijay Narayan Singh was also a reative of a local BJP leader.

Anuj and Vijay were both brought to a nearby medical college. However, the hospital pronounced Vijay Narayan Singh dead. Anuj is receiving medical attention for his wounds in the interim.
Ajay, the accused, is evading capture. A manhunt has been initiated and police teams have been assembled to apprehend the accused. On March 14, the victim—who was detained after being charged with the 2023 murder of a town doctor—was released from custody.
