On Saturday, authorities discovered the remains of a 14-year-old adolescent in a wooded area near Piparpur. Law enforcement officials are considering the possibility that the individual was the victim of a fatal altercation with a peer, purportedly stemming from a financial disagreement.
According to a police spokesperson, the detained suspect, aged 15, is under investigation for the alleged murder of Prakhar Gupta, a case believed to have arisen from a monetary dispute related to the transaction of a mobile phone sale.
Reportedly, Prakhar Gupta’s mother had reported him missing on April 18, prompting the initiation of a formal inquiry. Superintendent of Police (SP) Anoop Kumar Singh of Amethi confirmed that a complaint lodged by the mother led to the registration of a case at the Ramganj police station.
Authorities have disclosed that the recovery of Prakhar’s body was facilitated by information provided by the apprehended individual. The deceased’s remains have been dispatched for further examination through post-mortem procedures, as stated by the police officer.
