Surat: Palanpur Jakatnaka in Surat was tense on Saturday following the poisoning deaths of six people, including three children, and the suicide of a furniture businessman. According to News18, the family committed mass suicide as a result of financial difficulties.

Manish Solanki, who was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan, has been identified as the deceased. The other six individuals are his wife Rita, father Kanu, mother Shobha, and three children, Disha, Kavya, and Kushal.

When they got the call, a large police team headed to the Siddheshwar apartment in the Adajan locality, the scene of the mass suicide.

According to local reports, Solanki employed about thirty-five laborers and carpenters. On Saturday morning, these employees attempted to reach him, but he did not pick up the phone or answer the door.

Then, by smashing a window in the back of the house, the locals gained entry. For additional investigation, the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination.

Although the police have not yet released all the information, they have found a suicide note from Solanki in the house, in which he allegedly made reference to a financial crisis without naming anyone.

Locals in Solanki’s neighborhood told News18 that he had a number of large contracts and had been dealing with money problems for a while. When the family’s relatives arrived at the location, they provided no further information.
