Today the hill houses a Hanuman temple on top of it, and it takes as may as 575 steps to reach the shrine. This temple has stone-carved idol of Hanuman and along with this we also find shrines built for Lord Rama, Devi, Sita and Anjana Devi, Lord Hanuman’s mother. Well-known as a piligrimage centre, the hill sees regular stream of devotees. As the shrine is associated with Lord Hanuman it is a common scene to see the place inhabitated by scores of monkeys.

The hill and its vicinity is surrounded by lush-green paddy fields. This provides a serene green view from atop the hill. The place fills visitors with calm with river Tungabhadra flowing nearby.
